Corporate branding, can it be quirky?

Blogs

Hello fellow #MIMFamily. Whether you were at the Birmingham Christmas drinks reception last week, or have you been keeping an eye on the MITM Facebook or Twitter feeds this week. It has probably not escaped your attention that James, our MD attending the event wearing a very unique Christmas jumper.

If you weren't aware, MyWorkwear are not only a manufacturer of uniforms and workwear. We also embroider and print onto 'off the shelf' clothing. In the main this is adding a company name or logo.

So the question is, can you make your corporate branding stand out further?

Take a look at the picture below. We've simply used the MyWorkwear logo alongside the MITM logo and added some holly leaves. We would like to think that it stands out. A simple sprig of holly over your regular logo will add a seasonal element to your branding. It's not something that you need to do for everyone in your company, but if you did have customer facing team members, you might decide that you'd like MyWorkwear to make them some special uniform to wear just for the month of December?

What can we do when it's not Christmas?

Take a look at your calendar for next year. Are you attending any trade shows or events? Are you arranging away days for teams or special groups of customer within your business.

Why not have special piece of branded clothing made for each event? It doesn't always have to be a polo shirt or fleece, you could be creative on a cap, bag, blanket or beach towel.

Is it quirky?

I'm not sure whether I would say it was a quirky, but a subtle seasonal change around your logo should defiantly make a difference and create a talking point. Who know's maybe next year you'll be writing a post on MITM about how adding a spig of holly gained you a few new customers?
